Slunečnice
Vincent vytvořil dvě slavná díla slunečnic. Toto je první z doby jeho pobytu v Arles (Francie), obsahem váza s dvanácti slunečnicemi. Vznik se datuje do roku 1888. Originál byl v umístěn v Neue Pinakothek Museum v Mnichově.
Váza s patnácti slunečnicemi
Druhá slunečnicová nadílka přichází v roce 1889. Prostředí Arles bylo nejspíš pro Vincenta inspirativní celkově v oblasti flowers. Jasně se u slunečnic snoubý post-impresionistický styl s motivem Floral still life. Originál olejomalby je uložen v muzeu Amsterdam.
Tři slunečnice ve váze
Floral still life provází další Van Goghovo dílo ze září 1888. Vznik Arles. Originál spadl do kapsy soukromníkovi v USA.
